Lao Telecommunications Company (LaoTel), the incumbent telecommunications service provider in Laos, has deployed the MaxBill billing solution from LogNet Systems.
LaoTel provides fixed line, mobile and Internet services to a growing customer base of over 3.5 million subscribers and is the only communications service provider to provide full nationwide network coverage.
With the objective of streamlining business processes for its multiple service operation LaoTel took the decision to make holistic changes to its billing, service delivery and customer care operation, selecting the MaxBill solution after a fully integrated proof-of-concept (POC) trial.
The MaxBill solution has become an asset to LaoTel by enabling the company offer multiple services and attractive packages with zero-touch, automated service delivery, simplified customer support and transparent billing. On a strategic level, MaxBill allows LaoTel to manage best practices for defining and implementing modern and efficient BSS processes that are fully integrated across its organisation.
“In emerging countries, the market for communications services is developing quickly, but the IT systems that service providers have in place are often holding them back. LaoTel decided to transform its entire systems and processes, and our system helped facilitated this transformation,” explained Kirill Rechter, CEO at LogNet Billing.
LogNet Systems’ global system integrator partner, FPT Information System (FPT IS), deployed the MaxBill solutions for LaoTel and is providing ongoing project support. FPT IS is based in Vietnam and is part of the FPT Corporation. FPT IS and LogNet Systems together are targeting communications service providers and utilities companies in Southeast Asia and other emerging markets across the world.
